Actually there's a funny story about our night in a hotel on Saturday. Most of us were staying in a Premier Inn travel lodge near the party in St. Neots. These particular hotels operate a policy along the lines of 'a good nights sleep or your money back.' Well I have to say the rooms were nice, the beds extremely comfortable and the pillows lovely and plush and as we didn't get back to the hotel until around 1am it was luxury to sink into the comfy bed and just drift off to sleep.
Until...
DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
Oh no! It only seemed like five minutes later that we were rudely awoken by the fire alarms going off loudly and we had to evacuate! So there we all were at 2.30am in the morning, in various states of pyjama and jumper dress, all stood outside the hotel waiting for them to give us the all clear to go back to bed. Aarrggh!
The next morning at breakfast it went around the hotel at the speed of light that the alarms had gone off because of dust on a smoke alarm in a room which wasn't being used. So of course at checking out time there was a mahoosive queue in reception as everyone used the 'good nights sleep' clause to claim their money back for the night and so it only cost £7.50 a head which was the cost of the breakfast. Bargain!

Hi Sarah:) Sounds like quite the time you had! About the pumpkin pie, it's a dessert pie, not super sweet but it served for dessert with icecream or whipped cream. If you'd like I can give you the recipe, it's really easy to make! Email me if you'd like it:)
