Friday Night Madness

We had a mad Friday evening. Saints were playing and so I left work at 4pm and we hit the road. Friday night rush hour around the M25 and up the M1, always a nightmare and we sat and queued and queued and sat and got to Northampton with about 15 minutes to kick-off. We then couldn't park anywhere near so had to walk miles to get to the ground. This meant we didn't have time to pick up anything to eat and just got on the terrace as the teams were coming out.

The game was then horrible as Saints didn't play their best and could and should have won...but didn't! Grrhhh!

So then for the journey back to mum and dads and the main road through Towcester was closed!! There were no diversions and it was foggy so we ended up going through all these little country roads in the dark and fog and got a bit lost. We stopped to look at the map at one point and I noticed Dad had phoned (as he and mum were also driving back from the rugby). Our phone call then went as follows;
"Hello? Where are you?"
"We're in Akeley - where are you?"
"We're in Yardley.."

Both of us were opposite sides of the A5 in small villages, it was actually quite funny. So after a long detour we got back to mum and dad's at about 11pm!!

Crazy nights..
