A tale of two cities

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

This is the first Dickens I've read and although I got off to a good start I did get a bit bogged down in the middle stages. However once they went back to France and the Revolution began to roll it really took off and engaged me. I guessed what was going to happen before the end and the last chapters were compulsive reading. I loved the narrative of the last pages and cried at the beautiful and sad ending. Not an easy reader but well worth the effort.
