It was Mum's birthday on Friday and so I took a day off work and we had a lovely day at Bletchley Park. It's daft, we live a few miles down the road from Bletchley and it's the first time we've ever been - doh!
Before we went, we had a lovely visit from my cousin Julie, daughter Jamie Lee and her two gorgeous girls, Poppy and Romy. Jamie is being made redundant in September and so has set up her own business (Jamie Bakes Cakes) doing what she does best - making the most beautiful and delicious cakes!
Jamie made some cup cakes for Mum and they were simply beautiful - each was a mini work of art and not only that they tasted delicious too. Half were chocolate cakes with chocolate butter icing and a fondant top, and half were vanilla cakes with vanilla butter icing on top. I am in total awe of her talent and amazed with what she can do with icing!
